About us
Founded in 1991, EPDLA, the European Polymer Dispersion and Latex Association (Cefic Sector Group) is dedicated to promote the safe manufacture, transportation, distribution, handling and use of waterborne polymer dispersions and lattices and powders made thereof, in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.
EPDLA members are committed to ResponsibleCare® principles and have implemented risk management measures accordingly.
Vision & Mission
EPDLA’s mission is to promote at the European Union level the standing of the water-based polymer dispersion industry in a societal and environmentally responsible manner. For water-based polymer dispersions, lattices and redispersible powders made thereof, EPDLA
- Promotes the value of water-based polymer dispersions, lattices and redispersible powders made thereof
- Promotes the value, safe manufacture, transportation, distribution, handling and use of these products in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines through proactive product stewardship programs.
- Aims to maintain a high level of technical understanding including their applications.
- Interacts with other industry groups as well as regulators and opinion leaders, to meet their needs for information on these products.
- Prepares industry positions as required, at European level, and when appropriate at national level.
- Liaises with similar industry groups on others parts of the world.

The views of the EPDLA Sector Group may be transmitted through Cefic to the Commission of the European Union, the other European Institutions and other international bodies, particularly in cases where essential issues are involved.
Activities of the EPDLA Sector Group carried out with the objective of directly or indirectly influencing the formulation or implementation of policies and the decision-making processes of the EU institutions are covered by the registration of Cefic into the EU Transparency Register (n° 64879142323-90).
Organisation
As a sector group of Cefic, EPDLA is supported by the Specialty Chemicals Industry Sector of Cefic.

How to become member ?
Any company producing water-based polymer dispersions and lattices and redispersible powders made thereof within Europe at large including Cefic countries shall be eligible for membership within EPDLA. As a prerequisite, the candidate company must be/become a member of Cefic according to the Cefic membership rules and conditions.
